Much has changed since DBC launched 5 years ago. From DeFi and DAO’s to NFT’s & Web3, the crypto sphere has rapidly expanded from a speculation only market to a realm of functioning protocols, applications, and organizations. Global lock-downs, mass inflation, and collapsing economies around the world have highlighted more than ever the need for decentralized systems and human privacy.
Through all of this, Detroit Blockchain Center has remained absolute in its commitment to drive the Decentralized Future forward through education, inspiration, and innovation. During the pandemic, we’ve remained active hosting and moderating multiple online & in-person panels around decentralized voting, Web3, NFT’s and digital assets, decentralized ID’s and more.
DBC has also met with multiple interest groups from real-estate coalitions to developer groups looking to enter the space to the U.S. Department of State’s international delegate exchange.
DBC also launched a podcast, The Blockument, focused on teaching core concepts from basic “What Is Money” to more advanced topics such as blockchain consensus mechanisms and the logic behind differing DeFi mechanisms. 2023 will be no different. DBC will continue to advance blockchain and related technologies while framing MetroDetroit and SE Michigan as a hub of innovation throughout the space.
